Open the Notes browser with a click. Find all, recent, pinned and open notes, or give a note its own menu-bar icon with a title, progress, percentage or countdown.
On your desktop.
Open a note beside your work. Pin individual notes above other apps, drag cards together into groups or arrange them in a grid.
Entirely your kind of useful.
Choose colours, icons and fonts, and set the default size for new notes. Format text, preview Markdown and turn a dash followed by a space into a clickable checklist.

What do I need to run it?
Desktop Sticky Notes & Memos is built for Mac and requires macOS 26 or later. The core notes, checklists and reminder features don’t require Apple Intelligence.
Where are my notes stored?
Choose My Notes or a folder of Markdown and text files. Files stay editable in other apps. Virtual folders can organise links to files and folders from different locations without moving their originals. No app account is required, and there is no built-in cloud sync. JSON backups preserve notes, formatting and settings; restores create a separate recovered notes folder. Markdown ZIP export provides readable files organised by list.
Can I bring my existing notes?
Yes. Import .md or .txt files into a list, or choose a folder workspace to work directly with .md, .markdown and .txt files. External edits appear in your cards. Drag cards together into a group, then switch between them in the sidebar or pull one back onto the desktop.
How does the writing assistant work?
The optional assistant uses Apple’s on-device model to help rewrite selected text. You review the suggestion before inserting or replacing anything. It needs a compatible Mac, Apple Intelligence enabled, a supported language and the model available. macOS Dictation is available separately, subject to your system settings and permissions.
Can it remind me about deadlines?
Set a due date, display a countdown and enable advance reminders, with optional daily or weekly notification repeats. These repeat reminders, not tasks. Delivery depends on your macOS notification settings and permission.
Where can I get it, and what will it cost?
Start a free 14-day trial, then choose a one-time full unlock. There is no subscription or automatic conversion. Existing notes remain readable and exportable after the trial. The Mac App Store currently lists the app as JotStack; visit it for current prices and availability.
